#312660 Vehicle: Mitsubishi galant vr4 jspec facelift (1989)

Posted by croket on 20 January 2015 - 02:44 PM

Wow ive neglected my poor car !!!!
I now have a good w5 box from mo with locked centre , a new 6 puck unsprung clutch and pressure plate.
Bits left to collect are evo rear inner cvs to fit evo lsd.
Then rebuild spare tailshaft and fit it all in one go.
So yeah maybe 6 months and ill feel boost again.

#312594 fitting evo 3 lsd using 3 bolt axles

Posted by croket on 19 January 2015 - 01:44 PM

I purchsed a e3 centre about 6 month ago and researched how to fit it and could only come up with having to use 4 both axles.
I hunted for some with no such joy , i then looked thru a ton of cv pdfs trying figure out how to do it the gave up.
I went meet brian or bmgtz yesterday and took some 3 bolt axles to compare with his hoard of gsr evo axles and after some comparing the answer to it became so simple.

All you need is a evo plate centre and the inner cv cups and joints , the evo joint has same spline as 3 bolt axle and fits perfectly. The evo cup also fits perfectly in our housing as does the centre.
So there it is so plain and simple

#308328 changing housings on a td05

Posted by croket on 04 October 2014 - 04:36 AM

Im keepin the rear for another turbo sorry mate , ive been talkin to mo as he has a td06 and a td05 to compare to eachother. It seems the td06 comp wheel and housing wont fit the td05 core. So i think im better off just getting a t67 25g with t3 housing and v band. I was just wanting to experiment and try keep it cheap

#308265 Myths vs facts on cold starting, running and looking after your forged engine

Posted by croket on 02 October 2014 - 12:08 PM

I warm mine up for about 5 mins but dont hit boost until i see the oil has warmed up. 40+k on acl race bearing , eagle rods and wiseco pistons. Who says you cant daily a forged engine.... Ive never had any oil in my catch can and fuel smell in oil after 5000 kms is minimal

#308199 k sport coilovers good bad or utter shit ????

#307981 Fitted strut braces, now I need more!

Posted by croket on 24 September 2014 - 01:57 PM

Ive put the understeer down to the front wheel track being wider than the rear , im putting spacers in the rear to see if it helps. I also found whitline do a front lower control arm bush that alters castor that might help im looking into that too
