#339146 ARP parts install procedure for 4G93T?

Posted by jack be nimble on 20 October 2017 - 09:07 AM

I know that kyle.

I do them up in steps, and I recheck them for correct tension after running engine. I don't care if the head gasket says that you don't need to check them. I do

Get a bidet. Not sure why people want to smear crap all over themselves. Much nicer to blast it off

#338639 favorite evo holset builds

Some evo8 ecu have the similar plugs as a evo9. For ease, you should use a ecu that has similar plugs to what you have now.
There is retrofit guides here somewhere.

I would suggest a late evo ecu has as many features as the full version of ecmlink

#338609 Finally got some AWD turbo goodness

The short ones only just fit past the dust covers on the front. I think there is Buckleys chance of getting long ones past

#338241 4g93t head gasket options

Neil had same issue, with his jumbuck. It was pushing water between the layers of steel. I think he want back to fibre. But he doesn't run as much boost

#337178 DIY Transfer case rebuild

Posted by jack be nimble on 24 May 2017 - 08:57 AM

TMZ is doing a group buy on hardened shaft yolks to suit the 300m output shafts.

Also in passing, he mentioned he is trying to source material to make better transfer case gears.....

#337174 Converting a GSR to auto

Posted by jack be nimble on 24 May 2017 - 07:30 AM

Interior from a lancer.

I was wondering if the CE lancer would suit, as I think they are a shared floorpan with the cc. Also they have a different shifter.
Can also source proton auto pedal box.

You will need some auto lancer parts too. Shifter, pedal box, dash. Maybe wiring looms...

What are you talking about? Its in the lines. I'm just a shit welder. Not that big a deal really, it will hold, and do its job fine.

I have had a go with tuning the evo ecu with a 449 maf. I have moved around -60% above 1000htz on maf comp tables. The Ute is decidedly brighter now its around 12.5:1 AFR.
Its brighter, but still not fast...

#336790 jumbuck gsr ftw!

Posted by jack be nimble on 14 April 2017 - 04:57 AM

Hoping to stop the farting noise from the dynamax cannon. Had this Varex out the back forever, good to finally get it in.
The welds aren't up to show quality, but they will hold fine. Its not weld splatter, its the plastic protective cover on the mandrel that I wire brushed off.

I have made the motor spin and shut the fart doors in the muffler. This one shuts fast, maybe 1 sec or so, I thought they were a bit slower than that. Anyway, the muffler is not connected, just shut for now.

#336680 jumbuck gsr ftw!

Posted by jack be nimble on 09 April 2017 - 09:05 AM

I paid about $50 for the engine ages ago, and after a valve lapping it has come up with 200psi compression test on all cylinders.
The vr4 style mount was meant to be modified to suit a cc lancer, however it was poop. I redid it.
Also after putting it in, the water pump bearings were shot, so I have pulled front of the engine and replaced that.
Sure is nice having a hoist inside the house...

M109r is going good. What a brute! New tyres are on the way, a 250/40/18 on the back. Its a 8½" rear rim.

#336315 Where's Jack?

Posted by jack be nimble on 20 March 2017 - 01:00 AM

Hey guys, thanks for your concerns. I have had some relationship issues that are still unresolved. I have moved into alternative accommodation.
I do believe there is a organized effort to remove all money that cashed up bogons earnt in the mining boom.
On the plus is I now have 200m2 of man cave, a fridge with a icemaker, a hoist in the bedroom, and 30m2 shower recess.
I haven't touched the Ute in ages, but it is now blowing smoke full time.
I am learning renovation skills as the shed gets a kitchen, office and tiles in the toilet.

Anyway, I am going ok, sorry to drop off the scene like that. You guys aren't alone, I haven't been talking to almost everyone.
Cheers for now.
