Hey guys,  Im looking to get SR3 Recaro seats for my gsr cc. I’ve been asking questions on other sites but I’m getting mixed responses with some people saying I can fit an sr3 Recaro on the stock rails, and some people saying I need to change the rails.

Can anyone on here help me out? Thank you.

The rails don’t come off the stock gsr seats, so you need the rails from an evo 1-6 or a proton gti. A jap spec gsr might have removable rails but I don’t know for sure

Thanks for clarifying that. Another thing I got told was Evo 6 seats can bolt onto gsr rails with no modification? Is that false also?

Is yours jap spec or aus spec? Because the jap specs have recaros so they rails might come off, the aus specs have same seats as the lancers which the rails are a part of the seat base. So yea I’d say that that is wrong.

Easy way to id it would be the Ariel, jdm is on the back left quarter, adm is on the a pillar. But also a jap spec would have a import plate in the engine bay.

Or get down on the ground and have a look at your seats to see if the rails unbolt

Anything from Evo 1-6 will bolt straight into a GSR. Or any other CC chassis.
No need to fuck around swapping rails if any of the seats above come with rails.
