Hi Guys,
Can anyone tell me what the connector is for in the images?
I have been hunting for a cause of battery drain and thus was disconnected.

Thanks mate.
As far as I know this has always been disconnected.. I do have idle issues once it has warmed up so maybe that is the the cause.
Connecting it did make the current draw more though not less lol

It shouldn’t have power until the ignition is on, surely?

Unless the sensor itself has internal issues?

I should try fire it up with it connected?

The current draw was 2.5A without it connected and around 4 with it connected..

Where and how are you measuring the current?

Ok guys.  I think I gave you all a bit of a bum steer with my problem of current draw.

I might start another thread as I still have it but maybe not as high..

Keep pulling fuses under the bonnet till the current draw stops. I need to pull 2 fuses. The central locking and the alarm. (This is a proton, but looms are similar).

I have one of those tiny batteries, and 2 weeks of flashing led makes it not start

Hey mate,
Started another thread about battery drain a few weeks back but haven't had a chance to look at it again since I started that post.
