perhaps someone can enlighten me - do i need an evo/gsr crossmember & k-frame to use an awd box...cheers in advance

Yes. K frame and north/south bar (with the roll stops on it)
Your lca, steering rack and sway bar will bolt onto the gsr stuff.
Grab a fuel tank and sender and chop the tailshaft hanger out of the floor while you there.
Gsr/evo Exhaust fits all the way to the back of the gas tank too

Was good to meet you & see the box & clutch going onto a Jumbuck lsd fwd 4g63 6 bolt. Run std height at the rear to keep the weight forward !

just another question for you knowledgeable chaps - with the fwd locked awd box, what shafts will i need to use in the jumbuck? i have evo 3 brake/hub assemblies..can i use unmolested evo/gsr shafts?? thanks again

Yes. Im using a gsr passenger shaft and proton drivers shaft.
But I have 5 stud conversion but that makes no difference for you.

Do you know there is a jumbuck yahoo group. Lots of good info there too. Also a hardtop for sale at moment for $500

Have you welded the centre diff or have you installed a vce?
I think the vce is not as strong as the welded centre.
