Great work! Definitely a fair bit to do with them rears!

I ended up using Magna/FTO front hubs ass'y, and had the rear hubs pressed out, redrilled to 5 stud (holes welded up) and pressed back in.
I've got a write up somewhere on Evocoupe about it, but it's fairly straight forward.

Obviously the big advantage of your conversion is Brembo caliper bracket!

Probably more apt to title the thread a Brembo conversion with 5 stud, as there are easier ways to do a straight 5 stud only swap on our cars. Pretty well described post though.

Personally, instead of going to the hassle of swapping balljoints over, I'd have made up a bracket for the swaybar to attach to the two bolt holes in what you're referring to as Evo 4 arms, which are actually Evo 5 (Alloy goodness and a handy 1.5kg weight saving per side - GSRSOL calls dibbs). There is usually a small bracket with an eye hole here for the Evo 4/5 swaybar setup bolted there.

I'm running the late model drum handbrake. Using the racefab brackets, and brembo calipers.

Basically the same steps, however you can't run the abs,

It's the stock rear trailing arm,
The only real problem I had was the handbrake cables,

The later model has the brake lever set further back in the floor pan, also it's offset to one side, not centered like the CC.

I needed to use 2x the longer of the two cables, which was a PIA to source...

Handbrake works fantastic tho! Couple clicks, and stronger then the disc setup IMO

I just did my ute rears...
But they are drum and no driveshaft.
Originally 4x100, then 5x100 as my then rims were multifit, now 5x114. Starting to look like holey cheese in there now.

Yeh you can't use FTO rears unless you're running FWD.

FTO rear hubs don't have driveshaft splines.

did a little more reasearch on the racefab adapter they replace the std caliper bracket would it not be feasable that the entire rear brake assembly could possibly done they same way by separating the entire brake assembly from the rear knuckles. and even possibly re-drilling the bracket if required? this way you keep the evo 7 rear drum aswell as brembos

Hi, I just followed your link on Evo123.

Pleased to see that the Fto rear rings worked perfectly, as that is still my intended method as we'll.

Trouble is that they are rare over here and I am having trouble in finding any. Even though they are 4 stud, with the extra metal removed would the old EVO rear rings also fit?

Welcome aboard mate!! ↑

The only thing I was concerned about with using the Evo rings with extra holes was them being out of balance which is why I filled the 4 holes up...I then planned to notch out the new 5 holes in hope that that would eliminate the balance issue.

That all became too much effort once I found out that the FTO ones would fit.

You can get the FTO rings new from Mitsubishi or better for you Camskill.

See pic on the next page

Keep in mind you will still need to drill and tap the holes for the retaining bolts if using the late model hubs.
