You'd just need a stock ecu socketed to put the chip in.

Since you have no afm you need the speed density kit to go with it, but since you likely have map sensors in there already may not need all of it. Here a link the the whole package anyway so you can see what you do need.

If you did have it set up with a vr4, or 055/609 plug for afm this plug will plug the SD stuff strait in with no wiring of the pig tails, so easiest way to install. But your already setup for no maf you said.

And of course the full version.

Doooooo itttttttt! so much fun doing it yourself Baz!

Edit; once you got it all running and dialed in on gate pressure ect, if you don't already have an EBC and are running boost control though the motec at them moment, you may want to play with the boost control function.

Pretty freaking awesome product ecmlink is, considering it maintains or allows you to maintain or modify many factory functions that help control your idle and hot start enrichment and coolant temp offset as it warms up ect....
And them there the forum which is so helpful and sort of filters out the tools as its only people that have the product on there.

The loom is still stock, I've made a Motec M4 -> Stock loom adaptor. The MAP sensor is connected via the knock sensor connector.

Tuning the M4 is easy but the idle control is what lets it down at the moment for me. It doesn't stall but the idle just sounds like a lumpy v8 which I don't want.

Thanks for the links!
I'll look into it!

Is yours full?

I got lite version, which basically has some less features, when it was first released it was very basic, but shortly after they gave it pretty much most the features of the full version, so its great, some things are under different menu headings and just less rpm and load cells.
My cell for rpm stop at 8000 so no resolution after that and my rows for load stop at 2.6 load which i hit at around 22-25psi in the 20g. This is much more rows for higher load than the stock ecu has.You can go past this but you'd be sitting on the bottom load cell regardless, so just resolution.
So most people it'll get them started. You'd want the full version.

Then the full version you get rpm to 10,000 and load point to 3.4 which would be much much more airflow. The wiki page link i put below, says up to 40psi as a rough guide. You could figure it out by looking though logs of big hp people and seeing what load point they hit, Tim would know. You can also scale your load if your at the point of needing more.

Here's the comparison between full and lite and good for you seeing the features vs the motec you have. You'd want full anyway id say.

Have a read of this guys site for setting things up also.

The wiki page has good info if you search.

I'm no tuning god but Ive done a lot of reading around the forums so kinda know the links. Also baz done take this the wrong way, your setup is so fine tuned and efficent with your awesome cooler setup and all, but your basic configuration for purposes of dialing in the base tune; a 2.3, 1000cc injectors and no maf, there is so many people running similar setups so plenty of knowledge on the forums for a setup similar to yours. You'll love it.
