Hi All, again… Some of you know that I purchased an Evo mid this year. So I had my mate from Sydney check it out for me before JayRome and I picked it up and drove back to Melbourne. It was definitely a track car with the obvious pink brembos and the harness points but an immaculate car (Grade 4.5 & 42,000kms) and all jap/aussie paper work (import/compliance/rego etc). The car was stock apart from the basic mods and awesome suspension gear.

TMAK has been tuned to run 22psi and showed ~190kw?s on the VDR. Tuned 2 weeks after I bought it to remove boost cut as it was pissing me off!
Aim is to run E85 and keep it stock looking (for now). I?d like to take it to the track one day and maybe a few quarter mile runs.

Update:
VDR: ~230kws @ 22psi (October 2010)
Dyno: 232.6kws @ 25psi (March 2011)
Quarter: 12.62 @ 112.58. 1.866 60' (March 2011)

Update (201108) - Setup with HKS 7460R, HKS 264/272 cams, Ported ex mani, Split dump.
VDR: ~ 250kws @ 22psi 98ulp & ~275kws @ 22psi E85

I think it's been about 6 months since I've updated. So, in point form:
- Brembos repainted, under carriage cleaned
- Powder coated rocker cover (Thanks RXCORP)
- New boot TME sticker put on (Thanks SIVART)
- New centre caps put on (Thanks SIVART)
- Put cooler piping in, few different setups with intake and BOV.
- Alloy radiator put in (CT9A) with silicone hoses
- Carbon air box (CT9A) modified to fit and installed (Don't do this it took me ages)
- Undercarriage cleaned
- Walbro 255L installed. Took me 3 long hours. (Had to drop the tank).
- Car is had been tuned to make ~230kws (VDR Reading) on E85 and 22psi with the stock turbo. ~205kws on 98. 1250cc FIC injectors, E8 ecu for dual maps. (October 2010)
- Coilovers have been adjusted numerous times, but I think I've found a good combo for the street.
- Car got tinted before summer
- Car has been to a few meets and cruises
- Car has had a Tangcla photo shoot
- Car will be dyno'd soon. Hoping it would be close to the VDR reading.
- Tried to run down the quarter once but the event at Calder was cancelled
- I'd like track the car one day (circuit)

Just to answer a few questions I always get.
- Yes the car is that clean
- No it has not had a respray
- Yes, I live near a Caltex that supplies my E85 (E-Flex)

So I took the TME for it's first drag racing outing @ Calder. Intermittent slipping clutch, plus hard attempts to get into 2nd. Synchro's are againts me but got the following results!

Car - Evo 6 TME
Engine - 4G63 (stock)
Track - Calder Park
Rims - Stock 17" Enkei
Tyres - Kumho KU 31 225/45/17 (30psi)
Fuel - E85 (E-flex)
Gas - No
60ft - 1.866
ET - 12.620 @ 112.58 mph
Power - 230kw @ 22psi (VDR)
Mods - Cooler piping, full TBE, walbro, 1250cc, flash ecu, stock turbo (15g), stock cams.

Small update from a few weeks back.
- I've installed my Spoolin Up COP kit which I say is a must for E85 users. It's steadied my idle, removed my hesitation up top and improved my cold start.

- I also attended the Springy dyno day and ended up with 232.6kw (E85, stock turbo/cams). But this was at 25psi I turned the tap up too high (yes, bleed tap), Car was actually tuned for 22psi with a VDR reading of ~230kws.
This prolly affected the chart below.

OK... So it's update time. Some of you know what's been happening...
I've been driving my car for a few months with a slipping clutch and since this was pissing me off it kinda forced me to advance the project.

I had been collecting parts for a long time and waited til these parts went on.
- HKS GTII 7460R
- HKS 264/272 cams
- HKS cam gears (did not use)
- HKS valve springs (did not use)
- HKS Silent cat back (did not use)
- HKS black SSQV
- OEM headgasket (did not use as did not crack the head open)
- ARP headstuds (did not use coz they never arrived)
- Exedy twin plate clutch
- Grimmspeed 3port
- Zeitronix wideband/afr gauge

Work done included the following:
- Ported OEM exhaust manifold - I only smoothed out the casting
- All belts changed
- Clutch was changed
- All fluids changed - except rear diff, I'll do that on the weekend
- A split dump pipe was made by JayRome including bungs for wideband and o2
- A 3" magnaflow 200cel cat was welded on and pretty much a new front pipe was also fabricated by JayRome
- I'm sure there's more that JayRome did but that?s all I can recall

Finally all parts were installed thanks to JayRome including his fabrication work on dump/exhaust and intake. Thanks to SIVART for the genuine Mitsubishi parts, awesome service and quick delivery.
Since JayRome pretty much did the hardware side of things, he's got all the pics. I'll get him to post em up...

Burnzy then tuned the car and I'll let him explain this part...
I was happy with the figures from the vdr of ~250kws on 98ulp & ~273 on E85
