:fuuuuu:Mine has just f'd up 97 hsg.......got quoted $380 ex melbourne.....Are they the same part as any other car? Has anyone else had a problem one? cheers

You sure it's not just the reg?
Nice cheap part.

Edit, which model do you have?
the HSG had 2 alternators, a 75A and a 95A

is it a Z or an R, auto or manual?

95 amp....manual hsg ....ended up pulling it apart and changing the reg ($80).....back on the road again:)

You can get an auto elec to rebuild them for a couple of hundred bucks including labour....
