Just about to put the box and transfer case back into my car and was wondering how much oil do each take...I know the transfer case holds around 300ml frm memory but unsure of gearbox amount...
I'm thinking of using Syntrax 75-90 unless someone has a better alternative???

Check the service manual mate, its something like 4.5L for gearbox and .7L for transfer case.
Or as godfather pointed out, just keep filling it until it starts pouring out of the filling hole.
You can try Mitsubishi diaqueen gearbox oil.

Fuck! If you can get 800ml of oil into your transfer you must have the TARDIS of transfers:P.
I cant even get 300ml (the proper recommended amount) into mine even with the car jacked up!

I did it on the hoist,Filling the transfer case, that is and the car was pretty much level while on the hoist... I agree Adrian, better more than not enough!! Just come back from, shall we say, a spirited drive up Macquarie Pass then down Jamberoo Mountain Rd, and all is sweet as!! It's so smooth to drive and no funny noises, everything sweet as could be...
I'm stickin to the 300-350ml amount as being on the money!!!
