Or you could have referenced Marcos list Rob.
It's a bit more in depth than most others out there.

How much time do you spend in a parking lot with your performance car? If you do a lot of parking lot driving, and hang out in parking lots, chances are you are a ricer, go home and read import tuner. If you’re complaining about noise you should not be modifying your car. You should also consider no longer being a man, please hand in your genitals at the door.

Would the pistons/rods be custom items for a 2.0L long rod, or are there off-the-shelf products out there to cater?

The Magnus site shows forgies for everything from 150mm to 162mm and all piston sizes. Not sure about local availability, or stock stuff from other models.

The extra 3000rpm would make the Evo gear ratio work better too?

Skyline rods will be correct for one of those cranks. They are somewhere between 150-156mm long. The catalogue says they are right big end size. Maybe they go with the d68?
