What a bargain! That engine work alone would be almost worth the asking price.

I'm guessing that EVO3 will be purchased by somebody who will do something funny with the VIN to register it as a GSR.

Would that be right for rally rego cars though?

While on topic for interstate purchases, what's the rule for purchasing from nsw to vic or vic to nsw for example? Can rego be transferred? Do the road worthy certificates could take for other states? Example rwc for vic can be used in nsw for rego?

No rego cant be transferred when coming from Vic To Nsw.
And a blue slip is required here before it can be re regoed.
Ie major inspection and number check

And then the RTA to enter in the numbers. Ie it WILL get checked.

White state identification plates are used in SA for both personal import and rebuild schemes if a colored compliance plate hasn't been installed in a previous state.
Personal Import will say: "IMPORTED USED VEHICLE"

Victorian rebuild will say: "REBUILD WRECK COMPLIANCE PLATE"

Be aware that some personal import plates aren't yellow. My 1 has been here since the late 90s (I've owned it since 2000) and the plate has no colour.

That GSR belongs to Mars G (marsbar from evocoupe.net days).  A mate of mine purchased the Whiteline rear swaybar from him - said the car itself seems quite straight and clean.
