I put in a 3g 482 maf. This involves changing the AFM plug to the newer, smaller style. This proved to be no problem, as the wiring is well documented.
However, the new AFM (from alibaba or somewhere ages ago) immediately threw a Baro fault. So ANGRY!
anyway, there is very little about the inside workings of a AFM, so I popped a old one open to see what the story is.

Most of the circuit board seems to be to do with the air mass sensor. There is a small side board with 3 leads that is the baro sensor, and the air temp sensor is a simple resistor.
So, knowing that the later lancers use a different mass sensor, I assume they use a separate baro sensor too
I ordered a md17843, cut the yellow afm wire, spliced in a ecu earth and 5v power, and whala, no more ecu error.
