There will be no facility for the front engine mount to to mount onto the block, as GSR/Evo they mount onto the gearbox. If you had to, I'm sure you could fabricate something to suit.

GSR Lancer- JE-73-VO, 11.701@125mph, 1.79 60" and getting faster. No:3 conrod now orbiting the moon.

When you say fabricate would that involve welding a mount to the block?

Iam being offerd a very nice deal on a forged stroker motor thats just to good to turn down

No.. The VR4 has mounts on the block (front and rear) the Evo blocks don't have this. They bolt to the bellhousing.

So you will need to somehow make the mounts fit the stock position on your chassis to the Evo engine.. Depending if you are using the Evo trans. You can make the mount from the trans to the chassis. If vr4 box. You won't have any mounts to use! Hence fabrication requirements.

no because the vr4 motor has all engine mounts on the block and evo have them on the motor and gearbox it would not have any north south engine mounts maybe if u use a evo box and get some mounts fab up

After many searches on different forums i have read that the rear mount (closest to the firewall) bolts up?? Im not sure where as people say there is no facilitie for any mounts on the evo block. The front cross member mount will have to be fabricated. But nobody has explained or shown with pictures how it has been done

The EVO's mounts bolt up to the gearbox, which is what you will do with the rear mount, using the EVO part
