As title. Would it be safe to have 400kw at the wheels through a vr4 crank?

I have heard of 600hp atw, but I can't say personally. Brisvr4 has been 530ish hp atw, in saying that he has been tinkering further so I wouldn't be surprised if he has more now. So yes it is possible.

Yea i have read on mmc.org also that people have ran 600+hp at the wheels on stock cranks but that was "back in the day" and might not have been a wise thing to do. Im only going for about 350kw atw but it would be nice to have the option for 400kw 😉

I would be confident that my motor will go 400hp atw easy on pump. And ethanol 500hp plus. I may chase that, but I have a nice gearbox I would like to develope a good friendship with.....

Refer the conversation from about post #219 in this thread about how stock parts cope with power outputs higher than stock....

Someone must add torque factor here. As we know torque will twist and brake parts before kw.

I ran a stock kmm31 turbo cyborg gearbox for 6 years with 238kw atw, probably did 2 drag meeting's a year in that time and iv only just broken the selector fork a few months ago. I now how a rebuilt vr4 box with a evo 2 gear set hopefully i have a good run out of this box.
