A fellow forum member has been experiencing what I think are AFM related symptoms. can some one please confirm whether the RVR...with the inter-cooler above the engine. not sure of the badging lol   used a 609 afm?

I dont have enough background in these to know if what is on it is correct.

It's has a 609 on it. What I was trying to find out is if it should have one on it. Also injector size would be handy.

Is it auto or manual?
I think the rvr's are the car that got whatever left overs where sitting around.
My auto hsg had 450cc with a 787, never got it started as it had no ecu an I went to e7 bits but they seem like real bitsa's

Hsg is 787 and ssg is 609
787 flows more and is very close to late evos afm.

Hypergear manual 510cc but auto is 450cc

Hypergear ECU won't work in ssg unless you swap firing order for the plugs

That sounds more like fuel cut or some call it boost cut.
Does it do it if you do it with 70% throttle instead of wot? Will it go past 4000rpm?

+1 on fuel cut. Is it fitted with a boost gauge? If so, what boost is it running?

Rightio, dosent sound excessive at all mate. The "fuel/boost cut" is determined by amount of air and load (which is why its associated with boost), however not sure if thats measured at maf or closer to throttle body though.
Maybe check intake for leaks as may be sucking excess air or even clean the MAF as well.
Best of luck mate.

Another thing that may cut it out like that is faulty spark plug.

Cheers
