Hey guys, yet again i have a question,
As i have both the vr4 and the gsr out of order i have a mis match of parts. Ive put the gsr gearbox in the car... code:w5m33 2nrbe stock gsr 3.545

And i have the vr4 gearbox set aside code: w5m33 2wqnk. From what i can tell a close ratio 3.909

Question is which of my two transfer cases is meant to be ran with the 3.545...

Transfer number 1:

01 22
1 607
221

Transfer number 2:

4 F20
A 607
W5m3

One spins freely the other is as tight as a nuns fanny.

Can a guru help me out... again?

Cheers, Mike

I could guess that the fact ones tight and the other not so much is the answer to my question being the difference in ratio's.
But some confirmation would be great.

I think the last digits are the giveaway here.

Transfer number 1:

01 22
1 607
221

Transfer number 2:

4 F20
A 607
W5m3

221 will mean it is from a KM221 (Mirage Cyborg/C73A Lancer GSR/Galant non turbo)

W5M3 will mean it's from a W5M33 (late model Galant + Lancer GSR/EVO 1-3)
