Or you could try and replace the capacitors?

I wouldnt mind giving that a go but I think the damage is a bit extensive. Im not to sure if you are able to see. What do you reckon?

I could get the electronic guys to do it on the side. We manufacture mining control stuff. I can ask the 4th year for a cash price

Because I wasnt blessed with patience I popped in to jaycar got the caps I needed and went to work with the soldering iron. Much to my surprise it works now 😊 However, Jaycar or myself weren't able to identify the oscillating crystal pictured. Does anybody have any idea?
