So how do people go about fitting auto boxes I read somewhere it had to be a 95+ auto box but I'm about to buy a 97 box and it doesn't look like it had the mounts to fit in a lancer.

Matey, learn some manners and press control and mouse wheel forward if it's hard to see the writing on the screen.

This is a site full of members with tons of knowledge and firsthand experience who have spent countless hours modifying and fabricating parts, engineering race and street cars, and done more stuff than you'd ever dream of.

The least you can do is read the site rule first and introduce yourself before trying to leech info.

I am disappointed that we don't have a system like other forums that have enforced introduction rules, and disallows new members to access the full site before reaching a certain number of posts.

Benzo's spot on though, maybe a bit harsh but I do get why, too many times do newbs ask for help in a new thread, and get it, only to never return to give the solution that worked unless something else goes wrong
+1 intro or no post

And you might have been 'lurking' for a while but we don't know that, and ya might end up being here for the next 10 years (if ya got thick enough skin and the required patience for a 4g, lol) and build a monster but for us to better help you, ya need the intro to let us know what ya car is and what spec it is now, eg year, man or auto, etc
And in regards to ya question, I don't know but seeing yours is a cc lancer I'd be presuming a gearbox from a car pre 95 would be what ya want, eg RVR or GSR if ya can find one

I'm just going to post here instead of starting a new thread.

I am chasing info on auto swapping my 94 GSR, and am thinking that buying a complete RVR parts car (ssg or hsg) and swapping motor/gearbox/rear diff is the way to go.

Has anyone here ever done this swap (or something similar)? I have knee problems, and my leg definitely can't handle a HD clutch long term.

Any info would be helpful. My main query is whether the RVR rear diff will be a straight bolt in job.

Thanks everyone.
