Hi all,

Im in the process of stripping down my newly collected 7 bolt 4G64 and im just curious on a few bits and pieces. Firstly will have 9.3:wieseco pistons, spool rods, balance shaft will be removed and oil pump will be moded...thats as far as ive gotten. Im curious on what the best twin cam head i can drop on it would be,head gasket brand, do i need to go to the trouble of o/s valves? Ive already got some good info off mikey but just wanted to feel around abit more. I want to do this once and properly im chasing 300 fwkw with the potential for more.

Will be interested what the others post.
I think the extra 20% capacity will use the extra flow of the vr4 head over the evo head.
the sonata head a lil bit different (smaller ports) than the vr4 heads. But i dont know how chamber size compares.

1mm oversize would be nice and the bigger bore means you arent running into shrouding issues. But i think your goals are fine on std valves.

I made 290fwkw with stock valves. 272 cams. 2.3 stroker. No port job. Only valve springs. 98 Ron. 14psi boost on a gt3082. Vr4 head. AMG dual runner intake.

I have access to a vr4 head, what about intake manifolds? I plan on a hx35 or hx40 what exhaust mani is suitable? I was going to get a forward facing made and run a half radiator.
