Holy moly! Something i made actually works! Fits in there nicely.

Now the plan is to get external gate tube lengthened 70mm and poke the screamer out where the oil filter is now. I have a forward facing oil filter housing coming so that should work out nicely and leave enough room for the hot side cooler piping

Nice job.
You should think about using some 90 degree fittings on that gate. Save your radiator from getting punched when the engine moves and keep the hoses away from the radiator also.

Screamer is positioned nicely..

Hopefully get the tube lengthened enough so the gate sits out next to the timing belt.

Would leave it as is but the gate is almost impossible to get tight on the flange and the screamer exits where i want the hot side cooler piping to run.

Got it all back together and its still rough as guts. Any ideas?

Bit of a video attached too.

Thats all the pipe work dummied up (not tight) and the vacuum hoses connected.12800bca9e237ebd0303db911fe31ee6.jpghttp://cloud.tapatal...0606_162046.mp4

Sounds like mine haha. Maybe unplug 1 injector at time and see if there's one that doesn't make it worse.

Good idea about injectors. They never occured to me.. ive unlugged 1 coil at a time and all 4 change notes.

However ive just realised since the tune I've changed fuel pumps, had injectors cleaned and changed to COP..

Oh wow. Haven't updated this in awhile.

Anyway abit has changed lately. Fucked the prehistoric lt8s microtech dinosaur off for not so prehistoric but still ancient lt10s microtech. Midway through wiring it up a good priced haltech and dash pop up so i beg and plead and sell my soul to the minister for it. Apparently i 'deserve' it. So we've finally pissed off all the caveman technology and finially rocking something modern

Today i finished the "it'll do for now" loom. The plans are to slowly collect bits for a mil-spec loom and use this as a template.

I've still got to run some wire back to the fuel pump but that'll take 5 seconds.

Once ive done that i might plug the ecu in and load a base map into it to see if the ole girl still lives!

Bazeng has a new rocker cover for me too so that'll finish the engine bay off nicely.
Except for the hideous blue filter.... a new K&N might be in order.70c539661b7ea4fe9798f22a74c38f37.jpg

Plan is to have it driveable by the end of 2018. Was aiming for this year but a few things didn't go to plan. So ive got a bit of a list that should see me though.

- Baz's rocker cover
- Finish breather setup (^all i need)
- Fuel pump wiring
- Load base map + configure inputs/outputs.
- Replace the front LCA ball joints, tie rod ends + sway bar links. They are all cracked/perished/rooted.
- Tune @ nextup

Made some great progress on the Satria today. Cant attach video here as its too big but check my FB or ausproton. Rather happy with how it runs.

Few little electrical issues to sort out first which shouldnt be too much of a biggy.

Still have lots of things to do before it goes for a tune but just happy it starts =)

Fairly productive day today was had by all.

Got the bonnet pins fastened which was my main goal. Also went around and chopped the bonnet hinge stoppers to make it look like a honda more.

Over all im very happy with how the front end looks. Bonnet sits a bit higher than stock as ive spaced the rear up but hopefully that helps with heat extraction.

I've got another front emblem for the grill coming so hopefully that finishes it off

Tried my hand at making a milspec wiring look. Didn't turn out too bad I don't think. Ordering some heat shrink tomorrow so hopefully that's the front half of it done shortly.

New fuse box and some more terminals coming for the interior section. Looking forward to tidying that up.9413a3030521352e148191a9ca41dd90.jpgc04610a9df0be3f2b8bd7582142c4deb.jpg

Got a chance to spend a few hours on it the other day. Loom is now all complete and in.

Forgot how small the are inside once chairs and wheel is on. Haven't been on in years.

Been reading about de-powering a steering rack for awhile now and thought I'd give it a go. Not too bad once you figure out how it comes apart.

All cleaned and shiney ready for re-assesembly with some grease. Need to source a few caps to block off the pipe threads.

Also the offending seals

Installed the -4an bulk head fitting which im using the the ECU vacuum source aswell. Need to sort out some firewall grommets or just weld the holes up now.

Why are you removing the power from the power-steering system?

Why are you removing the power from the power-steering system?

already running a non-power steering rack from a GL coupe. Doing this to a GSR rack removes 1/3 the amount of turns lock to lock.

Removing the seals and everything instead of just looping the lines it the right way to de-power a rack and is lighter than just looping.
