My Galant GSR with VR4 engine used to torque steer like a bitch too. Fixed with a LSD mostly in the end. Can be sorted.

Might be best to buy a Prius if torque steer scares you.

Set the car level off the top of the shock towers and then set the engine level to match.
I have no idea what mounts would suit, just cut and shut one to suit

Very normal to torque steer. Best solution is LSD but I heard it doesn't do to well in corners for FWD. I know custom driveshaft can fix this. I quite enjoy the pulling, scares the racer next to you lol.

Original mounts should work fine. The might just need replacing, you can either get stock or aftermarket ones.

I don't remember gearbox numbers but I've got a jap vr4 gearbox locked to 2wd.

You can use the mount's of a C53A or C58A Mirage/Colt.

They have 4G6X engines. The mounting points are the same for the 4G61, 4G67 and 4G63 engines.

What engine did your car have when it came out of the factory? If it's a 4G61 it already had the proper mounts.

Perhaps a bit stiffer bushings might help a bit.

Brown, are your mounts attached at the engine block or the transmission case for the front mount?

Sadly, he's showed us a picture of the radiator support all torn up from the first set of mounts being ill-placed and designed/followed-through.

Hoping to see this car back in running order!

the mounts are very different from the original 4g61 setup, the evo engines mount off of the gear box for a start. and the passenger side mount is completely diff. you can custom make them to fit, the rear mount can isnt to hard, if you get the stock one off of a 4g61 that will bolt on. the gearbox one should be fair straight forward. the front again custom. the pass side one, i have modded the factory engine bracket behind the timing belt, to make the stock 4g61 mount fit.

Looks like a fun conversion :)

Ive got 1995-2003 Mirage polyurethane mounts if they run the same insert?  Full set if needed...

If not just the normal EVO 1-3 ones might be better suited?
