It was all over the news last night. Saw a couple of late model Evos got done.

I got pulled in at 7 30 when they were starting I seen that red evo the epa were going over it the exhaust on it wasn't loud at all one the quietest ones iv heard

No very lucky they rushed me because the cars were lining were up the coppers were dirty that i didn't cop a defect thought it was hilarious it bewilders that almost every copper knows nothing about cars

Cops are told...they arent mechanics and if they believe it requires further investigation, they are to refer the car for examination.....however they are also instructed to ask about a valid reason for a modification and if there is a permit.

 

you can always get a regimental number and forward any abuse of power to the ombudsman.....dont bother with telling the cops they will protect thheir own always

thats how it might be in WA but in qld they just hand you a piece of paper for anything they deem illegal by their interpretation.

should that be the case here....we can ask where the OIC of the police person where said person gained the knowledge to make judgement. weeties box? It wont stop you having to go over the pits but if there are enough complaints the cop is pulled aside and given the word for retrain in vehicle standards and ADRs. so a day at the academy for which they arent paid....they get to do it in their time off lol.

 

also ...if you feel the cop is being overly zealous in the job and issuing groundless workorders. OMBUDSMAN.....in any state
