Just purchased some E3 guards. They are the guards only, no other fixtures etc.

Think I've read on here before that there's some sort of supporting metal brace needed to fit these to a GSR, as the GSR ones are too small?

I was looking through the E3 parts catalogue listing on here - are these what I need?

MR178183 Fender,shield (inner wing/chassis leg-MR178184/85)

Anyone know if these can still be purchased from Mitsubishi, or do I have to try and source them from a Evo 1-3 wrecker?

If I can't source them, is it possible to modify the GSR ones to suit, or even fabricate them from scratch?

Also, what about the inter guard liners? Can they still be bought new from mitsubishi too?

The parts you need are

MB945123 - BRACKET,FR FENDER,LH

MB945124 - BRACKET,FR FENDER,RH

They are about $12.63 each from Amayama, plus delivery

I picked some off a wrecked bare front cut today for free :D

Sorry not helping ;)

Think I've found the guard liners on Amayama. Got the part numbers from the Camskill website:

http://www.camskill....lution_2_3_CE9A

Looks like each complete front guard liner is made up of a front and rear section..

____________________________

Front section of the liners are:

LH = MR178797 (Evo 3)
RH = MR178798 (Evo 3)
____________________________

Noticed there are also Evo 2 ones listed with different part numbers -

EVO 2 LH MR162627
EVO 2 RH MB959646

I didn't know the guards were different between the two models?

It must only be the front part of the liner that is different between E2 & E3, as there's only one part number listed for LH & RH for the rear sections:

______________________________

Rear Section of front guard liners

LH = MB959647
RH = MB959648
______________________________

However, when I searched for the RH rear liner part number on Amayama, MB959648, it comes up as "garnish" in the product description, rather than "protector" like all the other three liner part numbers?

Mitsubishi MB945123 BRACKET STEEL (MC JP) - 12.63 AUD, 1 items
Mitsubishi MB945124 BRACKET STEEL (MC JP) - 12.63 AUD, 1 items
Mitsubishi MR178797 PROTECTOR (MC JP) - 43.68 AUD, 1 items
Mitsubishi MR178798 PROTECTOR (MC JP) - 43.68 AUD, 1 items
Mitsubishi MB959647 PROTECTOR (MC JP) - 13.22 AUD, 1 items
Mitsubishi MB959648 GARNISH (MC JP) - 13.22 AUD, 1 items

The difference between the front sections is due to the front bars

Ah, that makes sense. Thanks very much for that.
