Just wondering if anyone has a pic of what a 205/45 tyre would look like on a 17x7.5 wheel ?
Thanks in advance.

I love'm. I need to tamper with the Teins and see if I can get the rim's and tyres that I linked above to work. 215/45 is just asking a little too much of an unpumped guard. Me keeps on trying.
What Teins do you have?
I have the monoflex

You're prob better off with 215/40/17 as they are not as tall and are closer to the original wheel/tyre size in comparison and have a better footprint for grip. If you want a 205 size then i'd also drop to a 40 over the 45 as thats even closer to the stock size and it fits better.
The current Finz 7 rim I run have Toyo888 205/45/17 and they are sweet. No contact anywhere, even when I tried to jump it off a dip at Targa South West. The Hankook Z221's are on the spare silver Finz rims and they are a 215/40/17. I nearly destroyed them with the arches at the same rally. I don't know if the extra footprint will out way the need to lift the car a few inches. I'll give it a crack thou.
What Teins do you have?
I have the monoflex
Same. I got the electronic dampening control strapped on them, but it is usually switched off because my driving is so inconsistent that I'd never notice the difference!! Really happy with them, it's just one of those parts of the car you don't have to waste timing worrying about, they just work.

They may touch my chassis rails at full lock. If so I will mod the rack stops to stop the rub.
I know you are all closer on the rears than the fronts, but I cant comment as my rears are different. I think they are 235/45/18 on the rear that touch when loaded. They will be changed to match fronts soon.

Crowd the last time I looked I couldn't find any 215/40 and if you go 215/45 you definitely scrub.
215/40/17:
Kumho KU31
Federal 595, 595 Evo and RSR
Toyo Proxes
Bridgestone Potenza RE050A
Hankook Ventus V12
Maxxis
Sonar
Sumitomo
Nankang
There is quite a few....
Do a shop on (wait for it..) eBay or an online store and find the cheapest ones of the better brands that you are after and get them shipped to you.
Go to a new or 2nd hand tyre fitter near you and get them done.
You will save heaps on going into a major chain and get what you want for less.

OEM EVO I-III load rating is 87 or higher.
You will find it difficult to get a 205x17 tyre with a load rating of 85 or higher, but there is a shit load more choice in the 215 sizes.
The 215 tyre sits better in the guards between 38 to 42 offset but you may have to do the rear bar tab mod (bend the tab up) to give you extra clearance.

As per the Standards, the maximum allowable overall outside diameter of the wheel and tyre combination must be no more than 15mm over the largest diameter wheel and tyre combination specified for the vehicle and not more than 15mm below the smallest diameter wheel and tyre combination specified for the vehicle.
Manufacturer Overall Outside Diameter measurements as per tyre placards on Lancer Evolution:
195/65/15 = 634.5mm
205/60/15 = 627mm
205/55/15 = 605.5mm
Therefore the wheel and tyre combinations allowable under section LS would include, but not be limited to, the following which fall within manufacturer overall diameter specifications:
205/45/16 = 591mm
205/50/16 = 611mm
215/50/16 = 621mm
205/40/17 = 596mm
215/40/17 = 604mm
205/45/17 = 616mm
215/45/17 = 625mm
205/40/18 = 621mm
215/40/18 = 629mm
215/35/18 = 608mm
215/30/19 = 611mm
215/35/19 = 633mm
