Hi guys.
Im finding it difficult to navigate or even bother looking in the new For Sale / Wanted Classifieds app.
I dont even think people realise that there are 3 tabs in the section. One tab is for asking questions.
I kinda miss the simple easy old way :(
No hate. Just doesnt seem right to me because its very different to the norm.

It seems to get rid of the spammers/comment makers....
Harder to view overall.
Clearer to see price of item.
50-50 for me

That said, I will digitally bitch slap the owner of any smart ass, off topic comment in this thread. Stay adult and on topic please people.

How much time do you spend in a parking lot with your performance car? If you do a lot of parking lot driving, and hang out in parking lots, chances are you are a ricer, go home and read import tuner. If you’re complaining about noise you should not be modifying your car. You should also consider no longer being a man, please hand in your genitals at the door.

I'm not a massive fan either, for the same reasons Rob has mentioned above. That said - I'm sure I'll get used to it in time, but it has made me less inclined to review that particular section of the forum.

I'm still getting to it by clinking on the link in RobTom's initial post - not through a set Thread title either like the For Sale/Wanted thread - am I missing something?

Shayne, you can access the Classifieds direct from the top of the Forum - see pic :)

The way it operates is ingenious. Its modern and new and clever. Thinking about it more now maybe it doesnt feel right because we're used to the open communication/relationship between buyer and seller with Q&A's for all to see? It seems very clinical now just like an ad in the paper?
Yeah thats it I reckon??

Something I picked up on though is when the seller has listed something incorrectly.
In regard to this particular For Sale thread in the classifieds: http://www.4gtuner.c...rence/#overview
I contacted the seller and got the gearbox code and as it turns out the parts are for an EVO II gearbox and running gear.
If you go to the Questions tab in that classifieds thread, you can see my questions being asked about it... but it has not been answered online....
Therefore when I did contact the seller and find out what parts they really were, I went back in the questions tab to update what I found (hopefully so other people would read it).
However if people dont look in the Questions tab, they would probably purchase the gear from the seller thinking it was EVO III stuff.
The seller has yet to update their FS thread to depict the true identification of the parts.

I added a new redirect forum, directly under 4GTuner Marketplace, clicking on it will take you directly to the new Classifieds area.

Just want to add, that when deciding about installing the new Classified app, I looked at reviews from other website users.
The app has 4 out of 5 stars, with lots of good comments.

http://community.inv...37-classifieds/

Look at the first 5:

With the new version this app is absolutely fantastic :-)
A clean application that will compliment any community.
Nice!!!!
OutStanding !!! Thanks you
Outstanding, if I can generate a little more interest for bartering in my community I will purchase this. Thanks!
GREAT APP!!!

Maybe it is just a matter of getting used to a new way of doing things? As EVO-00X noticed, people may not realize that there is an extra tab on each item for asking questions, that acts like a forum:

http://www.4gtuner.c...-fan/#questions

Anyway, we can always go back to the old ways...I understand that it may not work for everyone. Maybe we could open a forum where posts can be made about current listings...I am not sure, just thinking

In my classified, i'm selling multiple items, but can not update the original ad to edit/remove items which are sold due to a time limit on editting.

On multiple occasions, I've had members contact me about already sold items, and in frustration telling me i should remove them.

I thought it was more of a 1 item per ad due to the pricing feature.

I agree...the old system was much better and easier to use..and you knew if the item was still available and much easier to get an answer for any questions...if there was any possibility of reviving the old for sale section Im sure many people would be in favour of that...The old system was easier to keep track of too..ie the items newly added would appear in the new content tab rather than having to go into classified section then search through the whole list.

yeah I too liked the old way of doing it and am not a fan of the new app. Using the forum for sale seemed much easier, and seemed to give bette communication between the seller and buyers, especially as other people have raised around sharing the information for all to see. I think the other benifit of a forum for sale section is that you can gauge more easily the demand for a part being sold (Ie some one puts somthing up for sale and 5 different people say they want it, and you have the same item in the shed not being used you might be incined to put it up forsale too).

Thank you all for you comments. Feedback is very important, as the changes are ultimately made to benefit the community.
Based on responses to this thread, I have a feeling how it will go, but lets have an official poll and decide together how to proceed.

Thanks Robtom.
This in no way detracts from the hard work you have put into the new forum structure :) You've done well.
This is just one aspect where I feel the type of execution probably didnt meet expectation.
The vote should be a good indicative response from members.
