Seems that I have lost my belt tensioner / idle pulley, had no aircon for years and not sure if it fell off or was removed when it started playing up. Anyone got one lying around?

I was only just thinking the same thing for my Evo setup as mine is making a little noise predominantly at startup and goes away with just a smidgeon of wd40, silicone spray or lithium grease... but comes back again next start up.
Part number for Evo aircon belt tensioner pulley is MB878242 according to ASA for manual transmission engines. Have also seen it listed as the same part number but ending in a "3", and also seen it listed as "SSA921G412".
They're about $80 brand new

Had a chat to Travis trying to source one through him and he was extremely helpful as always, unfortunately they have none in stock in Aus. The problem for me is I need the pully and the mount.
EVOISM - You dont happen to have a VR4 mount do you?

VR4 and EVO tensioner pulley brackets are different mostly due to the different X-Brace that bolts to the back of the 4G63T block that holds the aircon compressor on.
The kits include the bearing... hang on... ACTUALLY the full EVO III CE9A aircon tensioner pulley kit = MB878242, not just the bearing as I originally thought!!
Well thats how the Mitsu parts database shows up in the pics. Look at the number 87061A and it has a bunch of parts under it. Thats the kit listed as part number MB878242.
The pulley bracket listed as 87003 does not have a part number and comes up "NO DATA" in the parts database. Therefore I assume that the kit includes the tensioner pulley bracket too.
If so, should be around $70-80AU + shipping judging from a price during a quick internet search.
If you want, we can order one each to save on shpping if it works out cheaper to get 2 at once.
Also, if you did need the Evo CE9A Aircon compressor X-bracket that bolts to the back of the block as shown as the number 87005 in the drawing, its Mitsu part number is MB958518.
See pic for the complete tensioner pulley assemblies for E38A, E39A Galants and CE9A EVO III.

Interesting, Nigel compared his one to his car and they didn't match up. I would have thought that the tensioner and its bracket(not the compressor bracket) would be the same VR4-E3.

Thanks to EVOISM for hooking me up with a VR4 one, it seems that it is the right fit.
