Hey guys
It's been a while since i've put any sort of progress into the GSR, both on the forum and on the car.
Since my last update, i bought a house so progress has been slow to say the least. I refused to sell my car in order to raise a deposit so progress had to halt.

But, now i have the house, the Project must start up again.
Right now, i am in the process of rebuilding a 4G93 to put back into the GSR, Simply because it's easier to get back on the road when it's mostly stock.
New head, rings, bearings, gaskets, belts and it's cost all up including the purchase price of the engine and assorted parts, $750 to date.

Once i start to get bored with the 1.8, the 2l will go back in, i'll remove the 1.8 from the GSR and transplant it into my daily wagon.

So I've started work on the car yet again.
Engine and box are out, decided not to bother with the 4g93 but to stick with the 63 and do whatever has to be done.
Also bought an evo bar to fit the guards properly.
Now it needs painting, which sucks when you don't know the colour of the car.
The 63 will get rebuilt, aiming for reliability over outright power.

no way... thats awesome thanks heaps.  i'll ask for some yellow paint from supercheap and that'll fix everything. Legend.
Lol, this paint is more than just yellow... it turns a slight green in certain light, and has some form of pearl through it aswell.  A plain old yellow would be great. lol

Dandelion yellow.  Check out the paint code thread in the EVO1-3 Tech section.

In the pics it does look like dandelion yellow....who knows if its a variant but.
Most paint supplies do colour matching if you can take a small part like fuel flap or similar?

It most probably is Dandelion Yellow... i was told by the previous owner (as everyone that's been ripped off has said) that it was a customized Lamborghini yellow.

Being as gullible as i am, i took his word for it, but everything i was told about the car has turned out to be an extension of the truth... so i'm assuming this is just another one.
Ahh well. i'll grab 1ltr of the dandelion and see how it matches up. :)

Well,  one year and a few months later, work has started... again.

Seems as though everyone was right,  it seems like Dandelion Yellow was correct.

Bit more clear and the easy work starts again, re-assembly.
This has to be the longest i've ever owned a car, that i've never actually driven.  The only one that comes close is the VR4.
Must be a Mitsubishi thing.

Thanks boys, Pressure from the mrs and other projects made me put it up for sale once or twice, but putting a big price on something like this is a good way of guaranteeing a non sale, as far as she knows, i tried.  lol

The only reason i'd get rid of it is for a genuine CE9A, so I don't think i'll be selling it any time soon sorry ByBy5L.  lol
aiming for end of the week, car running again.  Wish me luck lol
