Hey guys, once again i've gone and bought another 4g.
This time not a VR4...
Its a 1993 GSR in Dandelion yellow, and Evo 3 body kit.
instead of the original 4g93 its powered by a 4g63 out of what im assuming is a J spec VR4.
Currently its in a bit of a messy state under the bonnet and in the wiring.
but with a bit of help from you guys im hoping i can resolve these issues.
Anyways... its running a fairly large turbsy, tial external gate and no exhaust past the dump HAHAHA

I'll probably have a lot of questions so i figured i'd best ask them on here.
I will try to update this as the story unfolds.
i'll let the pics tell the rest of the

I know a little bit of its history from when it was bought down here but I don't even know where it came from.

What's done to it is a fair list of things.
Wirings been cut and shut out of a vr4 so the car runs but nothing much else works.
Theres no exhaust past the dump pipe.
The interior is in need of a little attention in spots standard gsr
Just a project lol

The good parts include a turbonetics t3/t4
Tial external gate
Big fmic and piping
Battery in boot
Strut braces
Lowered front springs an struts and rear coilovers I think

There's a lot of work in it but I'm hoping I can sort the issues out. Slowly but surely.

hey guys, im curious if anyone can tell me what my turbo is...
Only reason i want to know is to keep it reasonable on the street. I dont want to spend all this time and money on making it all mickey mouse and then have to change back to a 16g because its all lag and no fun.

I can honestly not remeber what sort of turbo i was told it was, T66 or t3/4 or something...
Either way, i cant find anything on it for an ID.
4 bolt dump, with external Gate.
not sure if it's been welded or not.

has a 3" intake.

I've never driven on it.
I bought the car as a project and im in the process of trying to get it roadworthy/finish it off.
So no idea how laggy it is.

It looks like an older style turbo.

Looks like a Garrett of some sort...
Look from the top of the turbo, does it have a badge near the oil supply?

I'd say T04e / T3 / T4 type thing...
It doesn't have the anti surge slots on the intake either.

Ok well on the Turbo front i still have no certain answers.

However, i've been working on everything else at once, i've replaced the interior loom, but am having a bit of a hard time with the engine bay looms.
Posted Image

With the new loom in, its better than it looks, lots of sterio wires awaiting re-installation.
Posted Image

Changed the lights from clear gayness, to stock (thanks to a few guys on here) and i think it looks a lot better.

As you can see from the last picture, i still have a lot of work to do just to get the front end neatend up. Thats without worying about the inside.
Its one constant stuff up after another. Why do we do it?

Lol because the wiring was/still is all sorts of messed up.

I've changed the loom to an Evo engine loom, and im having trouble with 2 plugs.

This one near the windscreen washer bottle:

And this one underneath the AFM/fuse box:
Posted Image

I think the first one is from the fan relays to the ecu, and i have a suspicion that the 2nd is to the main gold relay underneath the ash tray or centre console surround part in the cab.
but im not 100% sure on either of those so im trying to find out the wire colours from the original GSR wiring loom, but having no luck.

And as i couldn't figure that out, with the assistance of my brother in law we welded up a bit of an exhaust for her.

yellow with silver dash's
red with a blue trace

however on the engine bay loom it has a 6 pin plug-
