I've got this flywheel, apparently from a FWD 4g63. I was going to use it for my VR4 conversion that never eventuated. I've only just trolled through this thread quickly, but I notice you're in Liverpool like me.

If you want to come around and have a look at it, it's yours for $50.

If it's what you need of course...

Ok so how long will a standard NA cb gsr gearbox last ? Thinking of getting one just to get car on the road

Well I'm not saying it will last this long, but the current box has approx 280,000km on it, unopened, 80-100,000 of them have been bolted to a vr4 motor performing various stunts

I'm not saying it will last for ages, but regular oil changes/shrapnel inspections do help, also I've been using cheap and nasty bursons gearbox oil so if/when it does a horrible horrible death I don't feel too bad about spilling it all over the road. :P

I sent him a text, no response - assuming he's sorted it?

Sorry Jack, missed your earlier question, I'm not sure how many teeth it has, will have to check.

Man I had this very issue when putting mine in. Kiwi ingenuity....
1) heated and dropped the ring gear off the 61 flywheel and 63
2) had a spacer ring machined
3) heated and dropped both spacer and 61 ring gear onto the 63 flywheel
4) tig both onto the flywheel
Simon at Speedtech in Wellington NZ did mine in a couple days when I blew my old clutch on the 61. We put the vr flywheel and paddle clutch in but when he went to start it the motor wouldn't engage. He was puzzled but sorted it for me, have not been shy with dropping the clutch and have since replaced a clutch too and the fly wheel is mint.

Very happy with our solution. Have asked in other forums if anyone had this issue but never came across it.
