Also, cylinder sleeves ordered. The material will be superior to the cast iron material. I'll be dry sleeving the 4 cylinders. Eta 3 weeks.

They have arrived!
Will probably use different pistons now also.. Either that, or use the other 2.4 block due to the fact that these sleeves will enable me to have a few addition bores if required. It would be a waste to install these sleeves and over bore it straight away. These sleeves will bring the 2.4l block bore down the the 2.0l sizing.
From the factory, the 2.4l block is from memory the same as a 2.0l 60thou over piston.

So the head is done. Headspec have done a range of work in house. The last step is to send it to get cryogenically treated.
Cams have been sent out also to get measured / doctored so we can get the specs on paper.
Specs of the head:
2mm oversized ex
1mm oversize in
Custom apc cams
Beehive springs
Kiggly hla oil block
Ti retainers
Bronze valve guides
Head spec port job (drag)
Increased exhaust flange material
Helicoiled threads all round
Align hone cam tunnel
Cryo treated
Hks cam gears
Things are getting exciting again!

My sheet metal intake doesn't like the dry ice intercooler (hot / cold).

as much as i love t51s the difference is chalk and cheese, and t51s have been old school for years
I saw EFRs at VTA @ PI that were much smaller than the t51r but making much more power sooner!
My turbo being a top mount v band t4 flange setup means I could upgrade relatively easily. But in saying that, I'd probably go twin scroll etc. Let's save that for later =)

Piston change to CP. Make the most out of the sleeves by using a smaller bore piston. The SPS pistons to be used in the White GTO using the 2.4L block.

So I went to check out the head today and drop off the new pistons.
Also dropped off the other 2.4L block for some machine work in prep for the GTO.
